I needed to install WinVNC on my enemy friend’s computer so I could keep tabs on his daily atrocities, (ooh, that’s my big word for the day)  but of course I didn’t want him to know about it.  WinVNC now compiles their program with the icon in the system tray and no way to remove it without learning what compiling is.  (and who has time for another hobby?)  However, Jan Kratochvil has worked his evil hoodoo magic and recompiled WinVNC so that the service will run in the background, but the system tray icon is never seen, nor heard from again. (I wish my friend was like that)  Now I can secretly take over his PC in hopes to correct his mischievous behaviors or create some of my own.  (I never said I was nice)
